1. Introduction

Welcome to Jot ("App"), a recipe and grocery list management application operated by Coprime, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our App.

2. Definitions

  • "Content" refers to recipes, grocery lists, images, text, or any other materials uploaded to or created within the App
  • "User" refers to any individual who downloads, accesses, or uses the App
  • "Service" refers to the Jot application and all its features and functionalities

3. Account Registration

3.1. To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content and Recipe Sharing

4.1. By uploading or sharing recipe URLs in the App, you:

  • Confirm that you are sharing publicly available URLs

  • Understand that these URLs will be visible to all App users

  • Acknowledge that you are not sharing URLs to private, subscription-based, or password-protected content

    4.2. By uploading content to the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content within the App.

    4.3. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to share any content you upload

  • Your content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights

  • Your content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations

  • Any URLs you share are to publicly accessible content

5. AI-Generated Summaries

5.1. The App uses artificial intelligence to create summaries of recipes from publicly accessible URLs. You acknowledge that:

  • These summaries are automatically generated and may not be completely accurate

  • The original recipe source should be consulted for complete and accurate instructions

  • AI-generated summaries are provided for convenience only and should not be relied upon for critical dietary or health-related decisions

    5.2. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of AI-generated summaries

  • The availability of summarization features for all shared URLs

  • The preservation of all important recipe details in the summarized version

    5.3. When using AI-generated summaries, you agree to:

  • Use them as a supplementary tool rather than a replacement for the original recipe

  • Verify important information against the original source

  • Report any significant discrepancies or errors you discover

6. Acceptable Use

6.1. You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Share inappropriate or offensive content
  • Share URLs to content that violates copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App to distribute malware or other harmful code
  • Systematically scrape or copy recipe summaries or other App content
  • Share URLs to content behind paywalls or private access restrictions

7. Privacy

7.1. Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found here.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. The App and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by Coprime and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Third-Party Services

8.1. The App may integrate with third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

9. Modifications to the Service

9.1. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the App or any features within it with or without notice.

9.2. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coprime shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.

10.2. We do not guarantee the accuracy of recipe information or nutritional data provided through the App.

11. Termination

11.1. We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason.

11.2. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

12.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

13.1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the App.

14. Severability

14.1. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

15. Entire Agreement

15.1. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Coprime regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.

16. Copyright and Attribution

16.1. We respect the intellectual property rights of recipe creators and website owners. The App's summarization feature is intended to complement, not replace, the original content.

16.2. Each recipe summary includes:

  • A link to the original source

  • Attribution to the original creator/website

    16.3. If you are a content owner and believe your content is being improperly shared or summarized through our App, please contact us at support@coprime.io.
