About Jot
What is Jot?
Jot is a single destination to keep track of everything in your life that you want to remember, stay on top of, and get done, from the important to the mundane. Jot is designed to be fast and easy to use, and is built with privacy and security top of mind. We never show you ads, and never sell or share any of your data with anyone. Your data is your data, and you can export all of it and leave Jot at any time. Jot aims to provide a neat, simplified view of everything going on in your life so you can plan and prioritize what's important to you without forgetting anything.
We're building a smart personal assistant that shows you what you need to know, when you need it, and a way to reflect and see your progress over time in all the things you care about — whether your passion is building a business, playing the piano, or circus juggling.
What can you keep in Jot?
For now, Jot is designed to keep track of your tasks, habits, and notes. We're working on adding more activities like reminders, events, contacts, bookmarks, workouts, recipes, and more. If there's something you'd like to see in Jot, please let us know!
Doesn't this exist already?
There are a lot of great apps out there that focus on a particular aspect of what Jot does, but we haven't found one that does everything we want in one neat, organized place. We're building Jot to be the single destination for everything. You can think of it like a structured Notion or Google Sheets, so that you don't have to spend hours crafting and tweaking a perfect system that does everything you want. Just open Jot.
Having everything in one place means we can build universal features that work across all aspects of your life. For example, you could see everything that happened on a particular day in the past - what you accomplished, who you hung out with, where you were, what your mood was. These insights aren't really possible without coordinating all the data in one place. You can also tag and filter your data across all activities to see only the relevant information for that aspect of your life.
What are Jot Pro and Jot Premium?
Jot Pro and Jot Premium are optional subscription plans that allow you to store unlimited data and have access to more features and activities. Jot Pro is $9/month or $84/year and Jot Premium is $49/month or $468/year. Both plans offer unlimited jots (entries in a particular activity, e.g. habits or tasks) and unlimited tags and filter views. Jot Premium is a premium offering for Jot's most active users, and offers priority support from the founder and early access to new features.
We are incredibly grateful for our Pro and Premium subscribers; they allow us to continue building Jot sustainably and achieve our mission. Right now these plans are intended for our early supporters and believers, but we're working hard to make these plans worth every penny and provide outsized value to those who purchase them. We will always offer an ad-free basic Jot experience for free. We want everyone to be able to benefit from what we're building without suffering though ugly ads or having their data sold to ad networks.

What are some of the features of Jot?

Tasks: Jot is great for keeping track of tasks you need to get done. You can organize your tasks by project, tag them, and filter them to see only the tasks for a particular category, like 'Work' or 'House Projects'. You can also see all the tasks you've completed in the past, how long it took to complete them, etc.

Habits: You can keep track of all the habits you want to integrate into your life. You can mark habits off each day, see your streaks and stats broken down by week, month, year, and all time.

Notes: You can jot down notes throughout the day, tagging them with categories you can return to and filter by later. Say you want to keep a weekly log of your notes from therapy - you can tag them with 'Therapy' and 'Personal' and view those notes of the same type all together in one view. Tagging a note with multiple categories sounds like a basic feature, but isn't really possible in Notion, Apple Notes, and many other popular notes apps.
What stage is Jot in?
Jot is relatively young and has been in development for less than a year, most of which was focused on building a sturdy technical foundation. We're rapidly working on adding more features, improving existing ones, and fixing bugs. We're currently focused on building the core activities of Jot, and will be adding more features and activities in the near future. We have a lot of exciting ideas for Jot, and we're excited to share them with you soon! We highly value your feedback, so please let us know what you think and what you'd like to see in Jot!

What is a progressive web app?
A progressive web app is a web application that uses modern web technologies to provide an app-like experience to users in a plain old website. Instead of finding the app in the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you can add the app to your home screen right from the website. Progressive web apps are fast, reliable, and secure. They can also send push notifications and be used offline (coming soon to Jot).
Jot is built as a progressive web app, which allows our developers to build features faster and more reliably than if we were building native apps for iOS and Android.
How can I install Jot on my iPhone?
- Open Jot in Safari on your iPhone.
- Tap the share icon.
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- Tap "Add".
- You're done! Jot is now installed on your iPhone.

Jot is made by Coprime, a small software company based in Denver, CO. We're a small company passionate about building great products to help people live better, more intentional lives.
Coprime is a bootstrapped company, which means we don't have investors and have no plans or desire to take on investment. This allows us to focus on building great products for our customers without compromising our integrity or our mission to make money for investors. This is very important to us and shapes everything about how we run our business and the products we make.
